Galean Delmar/Internship Note to Reiniger
The following note was written by Galean Delmar and sent to the Acting Guildmaster of the Archaeology Guild, Reiniger. Galean gifted the Guild and Museum with an ancient greegree as evidence of his interest in the field of archaeology. He later became an intern for the Guild and was assigned to the Infernal Source Dig Site near Varrock.
To Miss Reiniger, Acting Guildmaster of the Archaeology Guild,
It’s with great pleasure that I witness the efforts of archaeologists and their thirst for revelation start to make an impact on our world. As we navigate these strange times with near extinction at Senntisten, it’s become indispensable to have a broader understanding of our history and the ancient secrets that surround us.
This is why I’d like to …
Elegy's end
A large clearing in Isafdar Forest. Dusk. Late Winter, Year 7 of the Sixth Age.
The funeral of Marwnad, High Priestess of the "Keepers" death-cult, was a modest affair, largely due to its being top secret. Shrewdly, Talhaearn, Fynnien's uncle, had insisted on the ceremony being held privately to avoid creating a disturbance. There was no secret now about who Marwnad was and what she had done; rumour had spread like wildfire through the Capital, from the guardsmen who had participated in the Battle of the Deephold via their families into the marketplaces. Talhaearn feared disruption or even unrest if his sister-in-law was commemorated publicly. He was also painfully aware that many of her former followers had evaded capture by his troops, an…
Requiem in the snow
16 Wintumber, Year 7 of the Sixth Age. The Elven kingdom of Tirannwn.
Mild autumn had ceded swiftly to sudden winter, and as Fynnien stepped out of the southern gates of Prifddinas, already snow lay everywhere two inches deep, and her breath turned to mist before her eyes. It was hardly the day to venture into the forest; but she had an appointment to keep.
Even if it was with a convicted kidnapper and confidence trickster who had already fooled her once before.
Some thought must have been driving her on however; for she raised her pale grey hood, drew her winter cloak more closely about herself, and set off down the path from the city into the forest of Isafdar.
Moments before she disappeared into the treeline, a figure in a dark grey cloak a…
Liturgy of Saradomin: Part 1
A couple of hymns written for the use of the Orthodox Church of Saradomin.
As of old, on earth he walks
Light of lights and king of kings, preserve us
Rank on rank, his hosts do follow
Soldiers of his light and his lordship, preserve us
He has called us forth,
In tribute and in service,
Holy people all our own.
Spreading forth his light and his wisdom,
Sage and Sword of good and grace, preserve us
Flock on flock, the wings of Hallow
Gathered there upon his brow, preserve us
He has called us to him
In prayer and in worship,
Holy people all our own.
Gliding forth on wings of glory,
Icyene keep his guard and his flame, preserve us
Evergleaming, ever holy
Vanquishing the darkness of night, preserve us
He has called us now
In battle and in honor,
Holy people all ou…
Night vision
Around the start of Wintumber, Year 7 of the Sixth Age. Some time after midnight. Branwen's House. Meilyr Quarter. Prifddinas.
"Fynnien."
Fyn's eyelids fluttered, but she remained asleep.
"Oh, Fynnien."
The elf-maid stirred slightly, and snuggled closer to Tristan, who lay beside her.
"What," she mumbled, still mostly unconscious. Tristan didn't stir.
"Wake up, Fynnien..."
That voice... it was young, male, soft, and very familiar... but it wasn't Tristan's.
It wasn't even speaking Elvish.
With an unpleasant jolt Fyn suddenly realised who it was. Her eyes flew open and she sat bolt upright.
"Eric?!"
He was there. Standing right in front of her. In the middle of Tristan's bedroom.
Fyn swore in shock and fright, and grabbed at the duvet to cover her fron…
A hundred and twenty-two years young
Late evening. 8 Ire of Phyrrys, Year 7 of the Sixth Age. Meilyr Quarter. Prifddinas.
By the end of the day on her a hundred and twenty-second birthday, Fynnien could barely contain her exhaustion. She had done her level best to be appreciative of all her grandmother's attempts to make the day extra special for her: the favourite childhood meals, and the lavish gifts, even reinstating her on her apprenticeship... Fyn really had made a special effort to pretend she had wanted any of these things, that any of them made her remotely happy. She could not be sure her grandmother, Branwen, was convinced - misguided presents aside, Branwen did know her fairly well at this point. Now the day was finally almost over; and in a way, they had both done …

Peredur observed the approach of the pale, waif-like figure with silent contempt, as it hurried across the main square of the Deephold to the Great Hall, where Peredur stood guard.
Initially, Peredur had found this Elf's slavish devotion to the every whim of their leader risible. Later, he began to find it irritating; and now, as many times before, Peredur found himself wondering why. As the figure drew near, Peredur suddenly felt able to admit to himself that he found it... yes; a little threatening. The worthless cuckold was letting the whole sex down with his servility. It was bad form.
Peredur snapped at him harshly.
"What is it now, Cynan."
Cynan did not meet his gaze. Peredur was physically intimidating - his arms and shoulders were huge…
Knight of the Kinshra
I came to Old School RuneScape after the Evolution Of Combat update to RuneScape 2. I began playing RuneScape in 2005-6, but it wasn't until years later that I tried Role-Playing on world 42. Being a Ranger I attempted to use cash to see where I'd like to place myself. I became a Zamorak Ranger with the castle wars hood and cloak, blessed dragonhide leather-armor, but instead of a bow (as I wasn't rich) I used a Zamorak staff and unholy book at the Falador pub locations. I attacked with flames of zamorak until I thought I had attitude enough to hold my Role-Playing together, but being evil I was always left to Role-Play on my own. It didn't bother me, but I did turn to a knight instead as I wasn't getting the ladies. I became a Black Knigh…
After the battle
Lyam's valley. The night he left.
With everyone else gone, Fyn sits alone on the grass. Hours pass. As the first rays of dawn begin to light the eastern sky, she suddenly stirs from her daze, rising unsteadily to her feet. Slowly, she makes her way down the mountain path, back towards her own home - pausing to touch every familiar object as she passes, as if noticing them for the first time.
It is only when she reaches the end of the valley and turns to look back one last time that the pain begins to set in. She sinks to her knees as sobs wrack her body.
She still has a long walk to get home.
...
Home. The hut she and Amia had painstakingly restored and refurbished, so that Fyn could live within walking distance of Lyam - and now both of them w…
Warrior of the snake
I'm a warrior. I got ninjitsu, skateboarding and even some command scores. One day I'll get a snake tattooed on me. But only after I am fully muscular. To focus on my battle-ship I have chosen the Monsignifer Lancehead Viper as my animal-soul, family crest and sigil to my seven of spades.

Fyn gazed pensively up at the crystal spire, gleaming in the Pentember sunshine, with mixed feelings. For all its brightness and grandeur, its sense of security and sanctuary, and the unmistakable presence of her goddess nearby - like a silent, soothing melody drifting through the air... Fyn did not like Prifddinas.
There was something about it that had always felt wrong; some note in the new melody from which the city had been sung that was too pristine, too perfect. She had been there less than an hour, and already its purity and tranquillity felt saccharine - and she longed to be back in the forest again.
Still... as her eyes moved back down the tower, the gnarled oak door set in its foot brought a slight smile to her face. She had…
The Viper of Karamja
It was a warm, cloudy day filled with gusts of humid air that besieged the sides of the frigate "Guthix's scale". On top sat several figures notable in certain circles, each separated and looking off into the horizon as the crew scurried about. In particular, towards the back of the quarterdeck, leaned against the railing stood a man dressed in dark blue garb, crowned with a wide-brimmed hat adorned with a skull, and next to him a young woman in generic traveling clothing. The captain of this vessel, a man in his mid-50s and sporting a large grey beard stepped from the wheel and towards the man in blue. He crossed his arms and spoke up.
"Lotta fruity-lookin' lads headin' to Karamja. Circus taking a detour?"
The man in the blue hat smirked a…
Precursor to the Kingdom of Cinder
Idle talk from those in the marketplace of Ardougne, capital of the Glorious Empire, was rarely of any important; merchants spoke of their wares, beggars of their desire for those wares, and guards of intense boredom. Today, however, marked a special occasion; the first anniversary of the crowning of Emperor Wrath to the new Empire of Kandarin. Fitting, then that chatter occilated between the anniversary and the news from the war front; Falador had finally fallen after a prolonged siege that strangled the city of its resources for a year. The citizens of Ardougne cheered perhaps half out of celebration and half of fear; the fall of the Vekons brought with it a swift wave of silencing of dissenters.
Indeed, within a month a gnawing fear gri…

The pulse is strongest in the heart of this dreamscape, for lack of a better word, and always quickens during my ministrations. I reach out, feeling for the ebb and flow of the residual life-force. It's simple enough, comparable to the anima mundi of my homeworld. The memories withheld come swiftly and sharply.
There was a war eons ago. Then came the flood: gods against gods. Something tore open the fabric of the universe, rending that which separates existence from nothingness. The Void swallowed everything. Only this corpse remains, and even now it is slowly being subsumed…
Mary Sue Test of the old, vexed lorehound
Yes, my friends, that time has come. I am making my very own version of the Mary Sue test, specified to runescape roleplay and my own tastes as much as possible. Some allowances have been made for the progress of roleplay as it has been. Naturally, there are exceptions to almost any rule and I have attempted to make this clear in this test.
The test is under construction and will likely remain as such for a length of time. Test version: 1.1 The race section of the test is considered complete for now. The test still requires additions and tuning in terms of point numbers and results.
This section is supposed to gauge the initial setup of your character. Here, the running basis is that the vast majority of all people are born regularly and, si…

- There are two World Gates on Freneskae.
- Freneskae was home to a lot more life than most of us probably thought: Mahjarrat must have existed in hundreds, and possibly more than a thousand Muspah were alive during their peak.

- Special rocks could be set up as lightning rods to keep areas safe from the constant lightning.

It was easy enough uncovering the source of his hastened degradation. The tower before him dominated Freneskae's horizon and was certainly an awesome sight to behold. But there was something else that captured Ptolemos' attention like nothing ever before...
It was Mah, an elder god, and she was dying.
This alone should have broken him, mind and spirit. The mere existence of Mah meant much and more for one whom refused to believe the old legends. Mah... Mother. Creator and destroyer. This was without a shadow of a doubt the second most troubling revelation that graced Ptolemos during his journey to Freneskae (the first being his realization that he'd lost his supply of candy a…
What was learnt from the Barrows sister quest!
- Caution Spoilers*
The most important thing we learnt is that something that was rumoured to exist for a long time definitely exists.
15 years and we finally see a toilet in game, all we've had before was Ali the Drunk disappearing to find one and waste management in the Zarosian Empire.
And then there was some stuff about the barrows brothers and Sliske...
Enjoy.
Dude, Where's My Afterlife?
The darkness of the Underworld swallowed her as though it was one of Amascut's beasts. Had it not been for the rush of cold air, Rosaline might have confused this place for the void. But no, she hadn't been devoured...
Yet.
The impact from her fall had taken its toll. She struggled to draw breath, treasuring each gulp as the tiny miracles they were. It meant she was still alive. Still here. But then, so were the monsters.
Despite the panic taking root in the furthest reaches of her mind, Rosaline fought the urge to struggle against her fate and scream. It would only draw their attention to her faster. Instead, she shut her eyes and listened.
They were all around her, she knew; at least ten, including the one that dragged her through the rift i…
Need help with a name for a Race
Hey everyone! As some of you know, I've been writing a book lately. And as none of you know, I'm suffering from a little bit of writer's block.
I've decided, keeping with the theme throughout the story with monsters, that there will be four groups of them, tied to the elements. Why? Well, why not?
Each race of monsters has two names, a proper name and a euphemism because the true name is a curse to say.
The one that needs a euphemism that most characters will call them, is the following:
Name: Timeans Euphemism: ______
Physical appearance: Humanoids who have grown fins, gills, tentacles and sharp teeth. They have skin that is various shades of blue to pale white, getting paler the deeper in the ocean you go. They sport bright purple eyes…

Frankly my Dear...
I have decided to extend my break from Runescape Roleplay into a retirement fully, i may pop my head around from time to time to see what you hooligans are up to but for the most part i think i've had my fun.
Been great getting to know some of you, and completely terrible getting to know others, but all in all i had fun so take it easy and if you want to keep in contact please let me know.
good luck kiddlywinks.
I guess for closure i should list the fates of my chars.

Done for a while.
As I briefly mentioned in the RSOF, I've been taking a break from roleplay for a while. Recent events have inspired me to extend this break into a second hiatus; I am unlikely to return in the near future.
My first hiatus was from RuneScape as a whole. I had become "burned out" from the game and had felt at the time that it was a little too much of a grind for my liking. No roleplay that interested me was happening, and my attempts at creating roleplay were futile.
This second hiatus is most certainly not from the game as a whole; I will continue to play regularly and I do not see myself taking a break from the game anytime soon. However, I'm done with W42 for the time being. Simply put, there's too much venom and negative energy in the comm…

About Seren
Of Clerics and Gods
Goblins, hobgoblins, humans, and ogres thronging the arena let out a collective roar as one of the monsters—what looked like a cross between larupia and airut—broke sight of the slaves and tore its way through their exposed flank. The other creatures, smelling blood and sensing weakness, converged as one for a feeding frenzy, maiming and goring those left standing. It was bloody and cruel...and the crowd loved every minute of it.
Yokrad, the so-called "New Big High War God", stood from a throne perched above the arena and called for more entertainment. The crowd cheered enthusiastically, their clamor causing the tower's balcony from which Rosaline watched to shudder precariously. She quickly withdrew inside, wary of the aged stonework and s…

So, While planning the outline of the Strength Through Chaos Event, Ellen and I decided that one of the ooc goals should be to use every building in West Ardougne. Fremennik tales:of the obscure
The tale of the Sunssworn, the advent of outlander.
Long ago in a time before dragons, when all the races of man were one and lived together upon one island (whose name is lost) under the seven magister-gods, there was one by the name of Saradom the Sunssworn, for he pledged his self upon the sun and in turn did it pledge it's self upon him and their two selves became one symbiotic. But he nursed a hatred for the gods, and he convinced many to break away from the faithful (Fremmenik) people and travel with him to new lands. Saradom and his band of set out upon the void-sea on mighty longboats, settling islands in their wake and driving their inhabitants abroad. He established a mighty empire, reaping it's benefits with a strong hand and min…
Random Roleplay!
Hey! I feel like alot of rp is far too planned out and regulated and so i would love to start a new thing where i roleplay with someone completely new and we rp something out of our comfort zones like lets use me as an example my zone is noble roleplay but i know nothing about priestly rp.
So comment below if you would be interested? if this is a stupid idea well i shall blame the heat.
Happy Roleplaying
¡Hola, amigos!
So, most of you already know me as Regrette, which is fine by me. I've been roleplaying for about 11 years now, I think, mostly privately with friends; I've been playing RuneScape for approximately 12 years.
I like to write creatively, and though I have a very basic understanding of how to write prose properly, my forte is poetry.
I like Cheech & Chong, Studio Ghibli films, horror movies, metal music, Jpop, old school hip hop, reefer, nature, retro games, and things from the late 20th century.
I dislike prejudice and the capitalist rat race.
Quotes from V
As you can't chat to V after you complete the quest for some stupid reason (Unlike with Zamorak or Zaros after their respective quests) I decided to post a selection of photos to help describe V, his morals and adventures (Mostly his adventures).
On another note I had one problem with V, he never resized himself when talking to us, unlike every other god. So whenever he starts boasting about his adventures, your eyes are level with his..... you know.
Well that's all, oh yeah this blog post is also a suggestion for somebody who paid more attention than me during the quest to reveal what we learnt that was new, if anyone wants to have a go at that.
Hello!
Hello! I have decided to finally chronicle my lesser-known roleplay exploits to the general community! This is my first and maybe last blog post, just wanted to say hello and to check out my pages.
Creative Commons Pages
As many of you know, I've retired. As few of you may know, I've kept good on that promise so far (other than editing the shit out of the wiki).
As I am leaving, the big goal in finishing the writing was so with some groups/pages, it's possible for someone else to pick-up where I left off.
The list of pages that will follow, are all going to be considered public access. Anyone could use them, for any character, so long as they stick true to what's currently posted. And also, hit me up. I'd be interested in hearing what's going on. :P My Skype is natalie.renderra
With any characters, I'm going to wait a few days before I hand them out. Why? So people have a chance to see it. If Joe Schmoe sees this first and claims Natalia, hey, that's c…

Sermons of the wrongful paths
These are the sermons of the wrongful paths; those who walk them and are ensnared by them, and the dangers they pose to Saradomin's faithful. Walk always on the lighted path, and from them your faith will preserve you.

Wrongful is the king who propagates order through fear, for it is he who in turn propagates fear of order, and it is he who founds his dominion upon the sorrows of others. Behold him by his words:

- I bring empty prosperity
- The children of Men and Mah
- Dance around a circle of bright un-stars
- And sing my name
- For they worship me

But that's okay. I also love (a lot) of you, and as the collective community matures we all come to better deal with those few things we hate in ways that make less conflict. I know I have. Of course I still have my moments but this has been the first community I've actually been in. Others I only observed and poked at a bit. Being in this community has gave me some good lessons on how to deal with people on the Internet and go from there. I'm still learning. We are all still learning.
But you know what? I and other members feel that even if the collective amount of conflict is less these days (maybe because of the population of the c…
Guide Pages: Revamped!
As some of you might know, I do a lot of the work on the guides for this wiki, and handle a lot of the lore stuff. What you might not know is that I've been revamping some of the guide pages to make them look better, be easier to navigate, add more media, and organize some of the information in them, even added a naming conventions section on some. The first (and best) guide I revamped was the demon guide page, the pages that followed were the Fremennik (though I didn't "revamp" that one really, I had to make it, didn't have one before), Dagannoth, and Elves pages. I've gotten a few requests in-game about which guides I should revamp next, but I'd like to hear what you guys on the wiki have to say. I'm now taking suggestions, which guides …
Retirement
Hey everyone, sun is setting for me as a roleplayer.
I honestly don't have the time or energy to dedicate to roleplay anymore with both massive college workloads and hanging out with friends.
So, I'm going to work on tying up any loose ends here.
- 1 OOC Stuff
- 2 Renderra
- 3 Others
- 4 Good-byes.
- Daevy and Spart/Rob can continue to use Taverley. I am sorry I couldn't help more, admittedly.
- The Renderra is not passing on. I'll explain the IC stuff a little later, but OOCly I'm keeping a stranglehold on it. People with existing characters are free to play them, and can ask me if they need help/advice/whatever.
- I'm likely going to be semi-active on the forums, and definitely active with playing Runescape itself. I have membership and plan to skill. Come De…

Incense, Smoke, and an Engagement Ring
Years ago, Samuel Murphy walked between the rows of wooden Saradominist symbols planted in the ground, flowers held in his right hand. It was a warm day, but the sun hardly warmed him.Four rows in, seven to the left, he repeated in his mind.
- Her Star did not have a name on it, but he knew that it was hers. Four rows in, seven to the left. It was repeated in his mind like a mantra or a prayer. Unlike the previous weeks and months, he was alone in the graveyard. As the grass grew over the graves and the memories of the Battle of Lumbridge began to heal, people began to visit less and less. For most, visiting the graves of those that they had lost in the graveyard was like ripping a scab off of a wound and allowing it to bleed all over again. It …

Raltin Avarr's Fremennik Christmas Carols!
Good tidings to all of you on this festive holiday season! As some of you might know, it is my turn this year to be Fremennik Santa, and I have taken it upon myself to spread Viking-themed cheer across the community of 42! To that end, I am bringing back the old Fremennik themed Christmas carols I composed in 2012 for Alrekr's original Christmas Rp event, and possibly some new ones! I expect to see you all singing these in Falador mm? It will take me a little while to read over the songs again and remember the lyrics I composed before, until then merry Christmas to you all!

My Characters and their Generations
First of many things, a need to clarify. What I mean by "Generations" is being aware of a cycle I personally have. I create a handful of characters I alternate between playing, play them a solid few months without new ones, then eventually pick up new ones and stop playing the old as much. Some characters survive, others get shelved. For the most part they go inactive while I focus on other roleplays.
