Hello. My name is Ptolemy Dean and I've got a tiny bit of a problem.
You see, I've never really created many characters for public roleplaying use. I find myself sticking with one character, i.e. Ptolemy Dean. He's not that special of a guy; I made him because I wanted to play someone who knew RuneScape's history and wouldn't be called out for it in a negative way. It took me awhile to get a somewhat decent storyline set up for him and all, but I managed it (I think). He's went all over the place and has had his share of adventures. Back WAY sooner than expected.
I'm appaled at how fast my.. "leave of absence" was. Honestly, I thought I was going to be at least a month. Well, now that some RL things have cooled down I am free to do as I please once more. And that means chill on Runescape. I suppose it's time to say- "Glad to be back!" (even though it was only like, 2 1/2 days) and I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter (provided you celebrate it ;) )
Petition for a Sandbox Page

So I got bored and thought "I'm bored," as people tend to do when they're board. Coincidentally, Ardougne started a superhero role-play just at about that point. I thought, "Oh, what the hell," and grabbed an egg whisk, the new "broken egg" hat, and a pair of pantaloons.

Anyway, I decided as I was attempting to sleep, last night, to turn my signature character (Carter Zanor) into a legitihjarrat. This I accomplished quite easily:
- Give human a vague mahjarrat-history.
- Give Mahjarrat split personality and dementia.
- Make him genuinely believe he's human.
- Come up with vague plotline to figure out that he is, in fact, a mahjarrat.
- Get Mahjarrat-ing lessons from Ellen. *This step pending...

Why Saudi weekends WHY?!
So as some of you who have spoken to me in-game know, I've been living in Saudi Arabia for the past few months.
It hasn't really been an issue until about three weeks ago, when I started up school again. Now, the timezone is crap, but I've been able to circumvent that issue simply by being up at times which are incredibly inconvenient for myself, and I'll be able to start that cycle up again over the next two weeks, but the issue is that during the school weeks, Saudi weekends last from Thursday through Friday.
Yep.
Not only am I on the exact opposite side of the world from the grand majority of everyone on Runescape (or at least, most role-players), I can only do role-play work on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during the school week.

After a while of looking at the this Wikia, I've begun to notice that most of what we've been placing in here are mostly character biographies and Roleplay clans/groups. While there is little reason for me to complain, if what I'm saying considered as complaining, I think this Wikia could use a little bit more enrichment and expansion. Why the Conflict?
Lately I've noticed that hostility between roleplayers is increasing. This proves perplexing to me as I thought roleplaying was for fun. The tension in our little community has built up so much I have resorted to only using my developed characters in private roleplays, such as roleplay quests, and using duds everywhere else. My question is simply.
WHY CAN"T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?
It is a question with an uncatchable answer for now. That's why YOU, yes YOU, should do something about it. Try to make peaces between others in conflict, and try to avoid conflict yourself. This does not meanyou should let other people push you around, that is one of the main causes of the sinking position of our formerly close knit community.

- Some pages, similar to the 'History of...' pages, dedicated to the History of organisations, like the Kinshra, Void Knights, White Knights etc. They could include major happenings and previous leaders.
- Pages including facts about metals and armours?
- A few more history pages about other locations, like Falador, Lumbridge, Al Kharid etc.

Wat? I believe I've been muted by a P Mod, for there is no explanation for the 48 hour muting other than it notifying me I've been muted for two days. Now, I've tried to look for an appeal button but I just can't seem to find one, which makes the think a P Mod muted me rather than a Jagex person. I'm a little angry, because I haven't backtalked a single person today, nor have I gotten into any keyboard warrior fights today, nor have I even scammed anyone. All I did was roleplay on Runescape today. Now, I'm thinking the Pmod saw me type a "bad' word (for I have used "Fuck" and "Shit") and decided to ban me for that. I'm not positive though.

I see people fight ALL the time over pointless things like "That sword is godmodding" or "Ewwww...blue smurf sara followers" listen people, let's all get along? Whenever I hear "you're blacklisted." I think ~why do they even bother if they are just gonna rp with them in 3 hours anyway? why must there be such a term? why must this term be a half-hearted attempt to flame someone?~ I think we should do away with blacklists, even though it is common to hear "I just attacked you, respond or blacklisted. he is afk!! hes dead!! lololololololol his character died"

Pidog Blakan - Dead or Alive?
I have gotten a few claims from people that they killed Pidog Blakan (Best known as Pidog Genic), my main character's husband, but he ignored it. These include a couple claims that he was killed at the Battle of Burthorpe, a couple claims that he was killed at Varrock, etc. I've never been there for events that they happened at, so I don't know who to believe, since I haven't seen any screen-shots proving it. But I would prefer a dead husband over an illegitimately-alive husband. So are there any witnesses or screen-shots that prove it? If so, I would appreciate if witnesses post here, and if screen-shots are posted here (Or if that isn't possible, maybe on Pidog's article temporarily?).
The Elf Height Debate
So recently, a little debate that there has been is one about the height of elves compared to humans. Some of us say that elves are the same height or shorter than humans, while some of us say that elves are taller than humans. I'm with the "Elves are the same height or shorter than humans" group. On the elf page, a photo was posted that made the player appear to be shorter than Arianwyn. I posted a photo in response to that to disprove the theory.
The first photo shown supports the theory of elves being taller than humans. A few flaws that were pointed out are:
1. The player in this photo is female, and males are usually taller than females.
2. The hood added to Arianwyn's height.

Ever since the day of the creation of this wiki, I have had one question in my mind. How do we spread the word of this wiki's existence to the whole community?
I have been wishing that the whole community used this wiki so that it could have a lot of information. But there is one thing in the way of that...

Not long ago, I composed a blog post addressing some new developments on the wiki that I liked, and what about them I wanted to see more. Since then, I've done a lot of work moving towards that goal, but there's still a lot left to make. I'll do what I can, but there are just some pages I don't know enough about IRL to genuinely start a good wiki article about. Since my eventual goal is to turn this wiki into not just a character database, but also a reliable source for all of our roleplaying guides that have traditionally been on the In-Game Roleplaying forum, I've come up with a number of ideas for what pages should still be added.

Effects of Magic.
Should there be a guide or page about the effects of magic?
And by 'effects' I mean Fire Surge would severely burn someone and drain alot of your mental focus and Blood Barrage would erupt your foe's blood vessels while your mental focus would be drained.
There should also be a section on how magic effects heavily armoured warriors and how it boils them in their own armour.
Here are the effects I think are reasonable for these spells:
Wind - Pushes foe away and when sand is present it would blast the sand at the foe. Water - Would push the foe away with a twisting motion. Earth - Clump of rock would form and it would be hurled at the opponent, smashing them. Fire - A blast of fire that would burn skin and boil armour.

You Can Edit, Too!
I've noticed a couple people taking part in a method of contributing to the wiki in a way that seems a little... less than efficient. Specifically, I see a lot of comments in the talk section of articles pointing out things that can be added or fixed. The problem with this is that it doesn't fix anything. I guess it's a byproduct of our community spending so much time on forums where only the original author can fix typos and other content. A lot of the time, if I see such a comment, I'll go ahead and fix whatever the problem is just because I don't know if it will ever get done otherwise.

Pages I'd Like to See
Hey, folks. I'm happy with a lot of the pages that are cropping up, especially recently. I really want more of come of them. I'd do it myself, but some of them I simply don't have the knowledge to fill up. Also, I have a paper to write tonight and a POC to help Greyson run.
One of them is "History of" pages. I wrote everything I possibly could (that was relevant) for the History of Ardougne page, starting from the moment I knew what was going on up through the present. It sure took me a while, but I'm pleased with the result. Even still, there are 3-5 kings from Ardougne alone who don't have their reigns chronicled. Well, I'm back and with more grouchyness to pour forth into a blog post. Hyo. For one thing, after seeing some on the wiki issue out, "Don't place your opinions on the pages.", it seems some people are still doing this. Think of this as a history book. You don't see the author of a textbook placing "GEORGE WASHINGTON SUCKS", in their works, do you? No. Also, I'm seeing an abundant amount of categories. Problems I've seen.
Hey there, it's Evanmister, I wanted to make a note about many things I have been seeing in the wiki lately.
Firstly, I've seen alot of articles where the writer likes to put in his opinion, in the form of "I think that this is a bad situation for my character" or "Me and Bobert really like this character". If you've ever read a news article, you'd notice that the writer doesn't appear in it at all. TL;DR: It's not an email, it's an article, you're not involved, just keep your bias away.
Secondly, there's too many Sh*t words.... no, really; words like "umm" or "... and stuff" shouldn't be used in an article. I know it can be hard to fill areas of the article, but we-gots-to keep it looking nice and spify lookin'.
